On September 20th, students and staff at Great Neck Elementary School came together in observance of International Peace Day. Students assembled on the playground and arranged themselves (with adult support) into the shape of a heart. Following a few words from the principal and the ringing of the bell for peace, students were led by their music teacher, Ms. Milukas, to sing a song titled “Light a Candle for Peace”.
